Ronald Wayne Funburg Obituary

Ronald Wayne Funburg the son of Claude Funburg and Virginia Mae (Lewis) Miller was born August 26, 1948, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, and he departed this life on July 29, 2025, in Cookson, Oklahoma, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 3 days.

Ron was a humble man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors especially if he was hunting or fishing. He enjoyed playing music and had great musical talents. He was an honorable Veteran of the US Army where he served two years in Germany. He enjoyed working on cars and spent his career and retired as a diesel mechanic working for the Stilwell Utility Authority. He was a devout Christian man and Deacon of Cookson Baptist Church. Ron had a kind heart and touched the lives of many over the years and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed enough to know him and love him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Douglas Wayne Funburg.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of 56 years Patricia of the home, his daughter-in-law Kelly Ann Funburg of Stilwell, his grandson Brent Douglas Funburg of Stilwell, and his brother Ken Funburg and wife Sherrie of Stilwell. Many nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also survive him.
